Δεν κάνει στάση πουθενά το τρένο της Λέστερ. Η ομάδα του Κλαούντιο Ρανιέρι έχει βαλθεί να τρελάνει όλο το Νησί κι όχι μόνο, καθώς θύμα της αυτή τη φορά ήταν η Τσέλσι την οποία κέρδισε με 2-1 εντός έδρας και έτσι ανέβηκε μόνη πρώτη στην κορυφή της Πρέμιερ Λιγκ μετά από δεκαέξι αγωνιστικές.

 

Οι Τζέιμι Βάρντι (15 γκολ) και Ριγιάρντ Μαχρέζ (11 γκολ) έκαναν ό,τι ήθελαν την άμυνα της Τσέλσι και χάρισαν ακόμη μία σπουδαία νίκη με 2-1 στη Λέστερ, η οποία απολαμβάνει τη μοναξιά της κορυφής, ύστερα από 16 αγωνιστικές. Αντίθετα η ομάδα του Ζοσέ Μουρίνιο υπέστη την ένατη ήττα στο πρωτάθλημα και βρίσκεται μόλις έναν πόντο πάνω από τη ζώνη του υποβιβασμού.

 

Ο συνήθης ύποπτος Βάρντι έκανε στο 34΄ την κίνηση στο πρώτο δοκάρι, ύστερα από την σέντρα του Μαχρέζ και άνοιξε το σκορ για την ομάδα του Ρανιέρι σημειώνοντας το 15ο του γκολ στο πρωτάθλημα! 

 

Με την έναρξη του δευτέρου ημιχρόνου ο Αλγερινός άσος από δημιουργός έγινε εκτελεστής κι έδωσε "αέρα" δύο τερμάτων στη Λέστερ με εξαιρετικό φαλτσαριστό σουτ που δεν άφησε κανένα περιθώριο αντίδρασης στον Κουρτουά.

 

Η ομάδα του Ζοσέ Μουρίνιο προσπάθησε να επιστρέψει στη διεκδίκηση του αγώνα, αλλά στο 61' ο Σμάιχελ αρνήθηκε το γκολ στον Ντέγκο Κόστα σ' ένα ανεπανάληπτο τετ α τετ. Το μόνο που κατάφεραν οι "μπλε" ήταν να μειώσουν σε 2-1 στο 77' με καρφωτή κεφαλιά του Λοΐκ Ρεμί.
